Golden Rule Treat others as you would like to be treated. Aefenglom operates on a three strike system for many offenses, but has a zero tolerance policy for harassment and bullying of players. If there are ever any situations where a player feels uncomfortable, or if a situation becomes one that can't be solved on a player level, please approach a mod - we will help take care of the issue. This also includes if there's been past history with another player, as we would like to avoid putting together players who aren't comfortable with each other in the group events. RP Etiquette No godmodding, infomodding, playercest. No fourth-walling without permission. We're all here to play together, and we don't want to make it an unpleasant experience for anyone. Fair chances should be given to everyone, and while things can happen at a moment's notice ICly, OOCly we need to treat each other courteously and discuss situations before doing something. Please also keep in mind that IC =/= OOC, and that negative CR shouldn't mean negative relationships with players. No Gamebreaking While players can choose between witches, monsters, and the kinds of monsters they'd like their characters to have, we're asking that there be no gamebreaking. If characters are given a nerf, or you're asked to reconsider an ability or power choice, please know it's to make the game fair for everyone, not to dampen anyone's fun. Even the most powerful character can't win all the time, and the entire purpose of Aefenglom's mechanics is to allow everyone a chance in the spotlight - if one character is always winning, or always getting the focus, no one is having the chance or fun they deserve to have. Stay Active AC is lenient in Aefenglom, but this doesn't mean mods won't be monitoring what's submitted every month. If this lenient system is abused, players will be approached to ensure that squatting is prevented. It's especially important to remember that, as there is a mission/quest system in place, that being active helps your character advance in the game. This can be at the player's pace, but many tasks are done in teams. Please be respectful of your teammates, and communicate if there's going to be any delay in tags. Mature Content Because the game is smut-friendly, and will explore other mature themes in the plot, we require that all players be 18+. If a player is caught lying about their age, it's grounds for expulsion from the game. All mature themes must be marked accordingly, and all smut in the game comms must be marked and locked. It can be played out in character inboxes without the above requirements, but if a thread with smut is used for AC proof it must be marked there.
