There are some penny dreadful style serializations where Monsters are demonized, but so are Witches in some, and others explore non-Monster spooks and frights like ghosts and strange creatures that are unsettling or just... bizarre. Like the Mourioche, for example. Whether it's a creature that truly exists in Talam, let alone Geardagas, is up for debate by many people.

It's regardless just plain weird. Ghosts... well! I suppose the PCs will just have to find out about those.
