If Hiccup was strapped for cash, would there be any shop owners in the shopping district that would buy shed dragon scales for any mundane or magical reasons, or would they find that tacky? He would assure them that said scales were naturally shed and no dragons were hurt in the process ofc. And if they would buy scales, would they fetch a decent price or go pretty cheaply?
